No matter how good technology becomes, there's nothing quite like flicking through the pages of a real book.

Each bookmark represents a season:

•“春和景明”,pronounced "Chun He Jing Ming", is a phrase from the Story of Yueyang Tower 《岳陽樓記》, meaning "in springtime the weather is mild and the sun is bright". The artist chose to write with running script.

• "蟬鳴”, pronounced "Chan Ming", meaning cicadas chirping. The artist chose to write with seal script.

• "空山新雨後,天氣晚來秋。明月鬆間照,清泉石上流。” A classic Tang dynasty poem, meaning "After fresh rain in the empty mountains, the evening weather heralds Autumn’s arrival. The bright moon shines between the pines, the clear spring water flows over the stones." The artist chose to write with regular script.

• “疏影臥波波不動,暗香浮月月微明。” Part of a classic Song dynasty poem, describing wintersweet flower, "a broken shadow of branches cast over calm waters, a subtle scent hanging in the dim moonlit sky." The artist chose to write with clerical script.

The seals are all carved by the hand of Cheng lixue 程立雪, a renowned painter and calligraphy master from Hubei province.
