This tea scoop is made from reclaimed bamboo once used to build houses in old China. After over a hundred years of seasoning, the bamboo has turned to a deep rose red colour, the outer skin of the bamboo has been carefully sanded, polished and prepared with a smooth finish for the tea table. Hand carved ‘Bamboo and Rock’ sits peacefully, the characters at the side read, “不种闲花，池亭畔、几竿修竹。”

No paints, varnishes or lacquers were used in the finishing process, enabling the bamboo to retain the beauty of its natural appearance.
