This tea won First Prize in the 2022 Spring tea competition held by the official tea department of Wuyi Mountains, awarded for excellence across all categories. The first time I tried this tea was a real adventure, with lots of interesting flavours to discover.
First warm the gaiwan, then pour in the tea leaves and breathe in the aroma that the leaves begin to give off. My nose was filled with the smell of flowers and ripe fruits, caramel notes coming after that, it really is like walking into the nature surrounded by trees and flowers. The tea has a super rich texture, so smooth that your palate is left feeling clean and fresh.
